High table members pay with coins instead of Black money. They can be used to buy items or pay for services. You gain coins for providing services, performing High table contracts or by trading/making deals with other High table members.
There are only a limited amount in circulation and coins can also be burned. The coins hold a chip in them, placed by the Mint registry to keep track of the history of who held the coins.
Burned coins
The system or Adjudicator can burn coins when:
- A person with Excommunicado status holds the coins.
- A High table member abuses/breaks the rules.
Once a coin is burned it has to be returned to the High table. If the person holding the coins is still part of the High table they can bring it back themselves as a show of good faith or a contract is made for the recovery of those coins.
